Description:

My Discovery Years were filled with moments of stepping back and evaluating; not just my work's development, but my mental and emotional condition as well; especially after creating a drawing like Nighttime Reverie, which felt like a necessary release of sexual anxiety.

Unharvested Affection was the result of such an evaluation, much like Geo-Erotic Formations; not only prompting a direct and deliberate acknowledgment of what felt like a lifetime of unrequited affection, but also confirming how lucky I was to have an outlet that enabled me to process and manage painful experiences.

In this expressionistic chalk pastel drawing, I am the figure depicted; holding a flower in hope, while standing alone inside a garden support.
