"The Entrance Door" is a self-referencing piece that (in my opinion) visually demonstrates the process of creating art through Automatism (random mark making), a surreal and psychoanalytic technique that is utilized as a key for opening locked doors within the unconscious (such as the red door in the background, which is part of a morphing landscape that only reveals itself when explored and perhaps happened upon).
