This drawing was Salvaged from an apartment flood in the late 1990s, which created the uneven discoloration seen in the photograph. It has since been stored flat in a climate controlled storage unit for 20+ years, before adding to this website's inventory (in 2023).
In addition, pricing includes Conservation Framing as an added safeguard, to help preserve this heirloom piece from further damage.
However, concervation is the Purchasers Responsibility as well (once the purchase has been finalized) and requires the conscientious handling of this framed, original pencil drawing.
These extended precautions include (but are not limited to) the display and/or storage of this framed artwork in a Climate Controlled Environment, specifically avoiding excessive moisture and dramatic shifts in ambient temperature, which can result in condensation (forming inside the frame).
