As one of my earliest expeditions into the unconsious, the title for this surreal portrait emerged from its surface; because, although the work's impressions obviously animated my brush, they were still only able to provide hints of a narrative, with little detail.
 
So, with only a few ambiguous clues, I can only now interpret this piece (in hindsight) as a possible foretelling, anticipating an emotional journey through the mysteries of the Self (which would ultimately define my body of work).
 
Technically, this limited reproduction is a digital restoration of the original artwork, the same size as the original, but also Better than the Original* (because these prints won't yellow)
 
*The original artwork used to create this print was my only painting varnished with Liquin, in 1995, before I knew that Liquin would continue to yellow until the end of time. So, one of the Added Benefits of this print is that it is Archival; meaning, it will outlive the original (as long as it is properly framed).
