Unlike most of the abstract expressionist paintings in this collection, which often provide clues that connect the work to a moment in my life, this piece seems to have dug deeper into unconsciousness, in a way that still obscures the image's meaning.

So, purely as an observer, in this moment, I can only interpret what I see, which are markings that resemble those found in ancient cave drawings.

On the surface, of course, that description may seem like a cop-out.

But, in reality... it is actually revealing of what Automatic Art truly represents...

Echoes of the Past; our own... found in memories and past traumas; in regret and unfulfilled hope; in all our victories and defeats; and in all the things that remain undone or unsaid (and still yearn to be expressed).
