Description:
It would be ingenuine to try and provide an explanation for an Automatic Drawing, which is truly created without conscious thought or intention. However, these pieces do present a unique opportunity for the viewer to connect with the work on their own terms, truly making these drawings a shared experience.
Nonetheless, as previously discussed, in the description for An Incongruous Manifestation, the utility here (for me) was often found in Automatism's ability to loosen mental restraints, which would otherwise suppress what the creative voice truly yearned to express (albeit, in its own language).
For this reason, I simply titled this piece based on what it appeared to represent, in my mind's eye, which is a reflection of the automatic process itself (often referred to as Stream of Consciousness, in literature).
