Description:

Because perception is relative, so is one's individual experience with art.

And, "Butterflies" explores this concept through jarring juxtaposition; intentionally introducing contrasting elements that are independent of each other, but also connected in concept (as a riddle, of sorts).

Objectively, the emotional imprints you encounter in this painting are what truly matter, despite what may seem to be suggested in the work's imagery; because those impressions serve only as triggers to experiences that only you will understand.

In this way, your interpretation directly contributes to the painting's purpose, as an exploration of a myriad emotional spectrum, which stirs "Butterflies".
